VININCUNCA
We will begin the experience by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and heading toward Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain, one of Peru’s most unique peaks. After about two hours of travel, we will arrive at the picturesque town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy an energizing breakfast to prepare us for the exciting hike up the Rainbow Mountain. From there, we will transfer by bus to Chillihuani to start the ascent to 5.000 meters above sea level, following the guide’s instructions and having the chance to encounter Andean wildlife.
After approximately one hour and forty-five minutes of ascent, we will reach the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or the Rainbow Mountain. Its majesty is so striking that National Geographic recognized it as one of the 100 places to visit before you die. You will have time to capture this spectacular landscape before beginning the descent back to the bus along the same route.
Upon returning to Cusipata, a delicious buffet lunch awaits as a well-deserved reward. Afterwards, we will return to central Cusco, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas after an excursion lasting approximately 14 to 15 hours.
