SACRED VALLEY WITH CONNECTION TO MACHU PICCHU – 2 Days / 1 Night
DAY 1: Sacred Valley of the Incas with connection to Aguas Calientes
The tour starts between 06:00 and 06:30 with pickup from your accommodation to begin the journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit key sites such as Chinchero, known for its church, archaeological site, and traditional weaving and dyeing techniques. Then, we will explore the archaeological complex of Moray, featuring four elliptical terraces that served as an Inca agricultural research center. We will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, famous for its pre-Columbian salt ponds.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba before heading to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns. There, we will visit the Temple of the Sun, admire finely carved stone blocks, and appreciate traditional local clothing, as well as views of the Patacancha and Willoq valleys.
At the end of the tour, we will walk to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes at 04:36 (afternoon departure as scheduled). The train ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival, hotel staff will meet us and take us to our accommodation.
